Praise for organisers

The UUP’s George Savage congratulated all those involved in last Saturday’s event.

He said: “Whilst the weather turned out to be disappointing the event was far from it, it was hugely enjoyable for all who attended. It was amazing to see people coming out to celebrate the town’s heritage and history.

“This event was the brainchild of former Mayor Meta Crozier, so to her, her successor and the council I would pass on my congratulations on a wonderful event that put Lurgan in a very welcoming and positive light.

“Here’s to the next 400 years!”
