'Prisoners in Maghaberry are true Irishmen'

FROM:-Seamus Gillespie, Republican Sinn Fein, Thomas Harte Cumann North Armagh.

We have learned with amazement of the visit of John O'Dowd and his fellow travellers to Maghaberry Prison.

He and his party forget that they have been responsible for a campaign to criminalise the prisoners and those who support them.

They have been the brunt of O'Dowd's jibes as he vilifies them.

The prisoners in Maghaberry are true Irishmen who will not accept the right of England to rule in this country and they claim Political Status as a right.

Whilst Adams and himself are concerned, it worries them not that they continue to inform to their British masters on anything that will upset their relationship with them.

Let the families and friends of the prisoners be aware that Brit Sinn Fein are trying to defuse the growing swell of support for the prisoners.

The young men who lie in Maghaberry are entitled to Political Status and all it implies. Mr Adams should be told what to do with his invitation to meet the families. If he wants to help let him tell his masters to give humane treatment to the republicans in Roe House, Maghaberry.
