£11.3m spent on family support
THE Western Trust spent £11.3m on family support services in 2008/9.
The spend was joint highest in Northern Ireland alongside the Belfast Trust.
Responding to an Assembly Question the Health Minister Michael McGimpsey explained: "Family support covers a wide range of services that promote and safeguard families including mental health, domestic violence and substance abuse.."
