She covered the assassination of Israeli Prime Minister Yitzhak Rabin and the bombing of the 1996 Atlanta Olympics.

Joyce has since turned her talents to wildlife photography in the Arctic, taking pictures of the wildlife and documenting the effects of climate change.

Her photographs have been published in National Geographic and other publications, and she was awarded a distinction by the Royal Photographic Society. Joyce was born in Philadelphia but now lives in Portballantrae, and is a member of Coleraine Rotary Club. The proceeds of the breakfast will go to the Rotary Foundation, which is Rotary’s own charity and assists projects locally, nationally and internationally. The president and members of Rotary Larne would like to thank everyone for their support.
