Performing live for one night only, the array of wannabes will be out to impress. The format of the event is based on the popular old TV series, in which amateur performers emulate the appearance and showpiece of their chosen star. These performances will range from the incredibly talented to the superbly ridiculous, as local singers become stars in their own right for the night.

A couple of local school teachers are rumoured to be making star appearances and it’s been said that classes in the school have been disrupted lately to enable extra rehearsals!

The Senior Camógs however have been much more subtle and are keeping rehearsals and tactics well under wraps with a few groups set to swap their hurls for mics in their quest for stage stardom on June 16th; maybe even some of our players’ parents will feature too!

Some local firemen have got in on the act this year as well and are said to be taking rehearsals very seriously so watch this space!

In its third year now this popular club fundraiser is all for fun and is guaranteed to be a great night’s entertainment for all. The club are grateful for the continued support they receive in organising such events. Without the support of the local community, businesses and volunteers these events just wouldn’t be possible.

The show kicks off at 8pm but make sure to get there early to secure a good vantage point and relax and enjoy some pre show drinks from the waiter served bar. Compere for the evening will be the ever popular Mickey Dallat who will be an entertainment in himself!

Tickets are being snapped up quickly and are a steal at £5; available from committee members of the Camogie Club.
