Suffolk Sheep Club auction and barbecue

The North Antrim & East L/Derry Suffolk Sheep Club held its charity auction and barbecue at Brian and Martina McVickers farm close to the Giant’s Causeway recently.

The barbecue was preceded with an outstanding show of suffolk sheep from its members which were judged by renowned Burnview flock master William Tait from Omagh.

The show which was generously sponsored by Evan McKeeman from North Antrim Country Stores and Ivan Smyth agricultural merchant was won by Packie Donnelly’s super flock ewe with RC & JC Watsons Ram Lamb taking overall Reserve Champion.

The auction in aid of the Pituitary foundation at the Royal Victoria Hospital was conducted by local Auctioneer Danny McAlister. The club would like to thank Danny for his assistance, Evan & Ivan for their very generous sponsorship and to the local businesses and community who supported the event.
