Teenager critical with head injuries

He was discovered by ambulance staff on Lake Road shortly after 3am on Tuesday.

Police said the teenager was discovered on the carriageway close to a pedestrian bridge.

They said they do not know how he sustained his injuries and have appealed for information.

The teenager was wearing blue jeans, white trainers and a black T-shirt and officers have asked anyone who saw him in the area to contact them on 0845 600 8000.
