Test yourself at Mayor’s table quiz

The Mayor of Lisburn, Councillor Margaret Tolerton has organised a table quiz to raise funds in support of her Mayoral charity on Thursday February 20.

Speaking about the event, Councillor Tolerton said: “Since becoming Mayor in June there has been a number of fundraising events arranged either by my office or outside bodies and organisations to raise money for this excellent local charity, The Lagan Valley Diabetes Fund; and I hope people will continue to support our efforts by attending this event.”

“A charity table quiz has become a regular feature on the Mayoral Fundraising Calendar and I am delighted that well-known quizmasters Mr George McCartney and Mr Michael Rickard will once again be asking the brainteasers on the night. These two gentlemen always have a variety of ways to engage the teams on the night to the benefit of the Charity,” she said.

The entry fee is £8 per person and there will be no maximum team size on the night. A special early booking fee of £40 for a team of 6, is available for those who are keen to test their knowledge and compete to be champions of the ‘Mayor’s Charity Table Quiz’.

To ensure all funds raised go directly to the Mayor’s Charity all Council initiated fundraising activities are administered by the Mayor’s Office.
