Taking the audience back in time, Philip explained how the industrial revolution led to a mindset which considered the natural world a resource to be exploited, and how traditional, small scale, sustainable agriculture has developed into agro-business with factory farming processes leading to soil nutrient depletion and decreased biodiversity.
