Two Coalisland GAA clubs to get half million investment
The money, which has been allocated through the Neighbourhood renewal Scheme from the Department of Social Development, will see the well-used facilities at Fianna and Brackaville GFC updated.
Chair of the Neighbourhood Renewal Partnership Coalisland & Dungannon and Mid Ulster MP, Francie Molloy, told the Times the clubs had made an application to the fund “going back three years”.

Hide AdWelcoming the announcement, he said “funding had sort of dried up for a while” but with Stormont departments due to change and it being the end of the financial year, the money became available.
“It will be used to update facilities,” he said.
Praising the good work that has come from the fund, he added: “Neighbourhood Renewal has generated around £5m for Coalisland overall. Ogras Youth Club has done a complete renewal. Footpaths and lighting have been improved.”
Mid Ulster Councillor Linda Dillon added: “Well done to the clubs for all the hard work they have put in to get their applications completed.”
