Shirt art at Ebrington?
DUP Alderman Maurice Devenney has withdrawn a proposal that the long-awaited ‘factory girls’ sculpture, once pencilled in for King Street, now earmarked for the Guildhall, could be located at Ebrington.
Alderman Devenney made the suggestion at the April full meeting of Derry City Council but after cross-party discussion agreed to withdraw it.
He said: “I’ll withdraw the proposal but if all work is exhausted at the Guildhall we could look at Ebrington.”
