Danielle Donaldson (22), Flush Park, Lisburn, admitted being in charge of a motor vehicle on August 14 last year while unfit through drink or drugs.

He was fined £250 and banned from driving for 12 months.

The court heard that police received an anonymous call about a female driving a car at Westland Road in Portadown.

They found Donaldson sitting in the driver’s seat of the car which had been parked askew to the kerb. The bonnet was still warm to touch.

When she got out of the vehicle she was unsteady on her feet and fell against the vehicle.

In the custody suite she kept bumping into walls and when trying to take a breath test she kept hitting her face while attempting to blow into the machine. A urine sample was obtained and it showed a number of drugs in her system.

Mr Conor Downey, representing the defendant, said she did have a lengthy record but references handed into the court showed where she was now rather than the time she was detected. He added that she had a lengthy record but since she had moved out of the area she had now come to the attention of the police.

Mr Downey said it seemed as if she was beginning to turn her life around.
