A fun packed programme is on offer providing young people with a wide variety of activities and services, such as dance and drama, residential visits, art, football, ICT suite, hockey and community relations projects.

Full-time youth worker Andrew Barr said: "The programmes on offer at Lurgan Youth Annexe aim to build confidence develop skills and encourage voluntary participation through a process of informal education. The dedicated team of staff and volunteers are trained in Youth work and Child Protection to demonstrate a commitment towards good practice.

"Community engagement is a key focus of Lurgan Youth Annexe’s three year strategy and the development of the South Lurgan Youth Advisory Forum has been a catalyst in helping community representatives from South Lurgan work collaboratively.

"This method of practice has helped develop working partnerships with key organisations, such as, Lurgan YMCA, Jethro Centre, and the local community/residents associations. During the last year a solid foundation has been established to support and meet the needs of young people, families and the wider community across South Lurgan.
