Knockout night of entertainment at the Skerries ABC Fight Night

The full house in the Magherabuoy Hotel were treated to a great night's boxing at the Skerries ABC Fight Night.

First up was an exhibition bout between 10-year-olds Harley Hanson (Skerries) and Taylor McBride of Coleraine. Both boxed very well with Harley picking up Boxer of the Night and Most Improved Boxer in the club this season.

Next two more 10-year-olds took to the ring as Scorpion’s Adam Platt faced Carin Hunter of Omagh SH with more skillful boxing on show, before Charlene Irvine of Omagh SH took on Caitlin McMurray of Maydown Olympic in a great bout. Bobby Platt of Scorpion took on Shaun Duke of Omagh in a hard fought bout before newcomer Peter Passmore did very well against the experienced Leon Boyd of Coleraine in an exhibition.

Dylan McGill of Scorpion and Callum McGallion of Omagh put on a great show as did Nathan Harrigan and Brandon McDonagh in the last of the exhibition bout.

In the first judged fight Skerries’ Jack Loney lost narrowly to southpaw Eoin McLaughlin of Maydown. David McCrudden and Colin Taggart face off in a 90kg exhibition which got the crowd going.

Colin Quinn won in three in the 75kg bout against Stephen Clark. Luke Bacon lost out in the 80kg fight to Richard Langtree of Coleraine in what was a hard fought fight.

The last bout of the night was the 65kg Exhibition between former Ulster champions Josey Small of Skerries and Ryan Wallace of Scorpion, with both putting on a great performance.
