Meet theDonemana men

THE prestigious Northern Bank Senior Cup final takes place at Bready on Friday and Saturday between Brigade and Donemana.

The Holm men had a surprisingly easy victory over holders Bready, in Saturday’s semi-final encounter and here we take a closer look at Donemana’s squad.

Richard Kee (Captain) - In his second season as skipper and what a magnificent job he has done so far. Keesie has also produced some superb batting displays and enjoys the big occasion.

Jordan McGonigle - A very important member of the team who has shown this season the form that gained him international recognition a number of years ago, also a great club man.

Dwayne McGerrigle - Another former international, he has a wealth of knowledge and experience in the game. One of the big hitters in the North West he can turn a game in an instant.

Junior McBrine - Arguably the best all rounder Irish cricket has seen, he can be a match winner with both bat and ball, a key man if the cup is to go to the Holm.

James McBrine - Like his twin brother James is a natural winner. He ahs the knack of picking up big wickets at important times and when he gets going with the bat he is a joy to watch.

Kamran Sajid - Having a great season Kammy his runs at the top of the order have been invaluable and once again his bowling has been excellent, suffering a bit with a leg injury.

Ricky Lee Dougherty - This young man seems to improve all the time, there are few better wicket keepers in the division and his positive stroke play makes him a danger to any side.

William McClintock - A talented all rounder in his first season in senior cricket at just 15 years of age. Has bowled well when called on and more than useful with the bat also an excellent fielder.

Gary McClintock - Like his twin brother has adapted well to senior cricket at such a young age, very good all rounder and yet another one with a bright future ahead of him.

Graham Boyd - Hasn’t played much senior cricket this season but his form has been excellent with the seconds. On his day Boydo is a joy to watch with the bat and also a useful bowler.

William McBrine - Has played on a few occasions with the seniors this year, another youngster who has come through the ranks and won’t let anyone down if selected.

Ritchie McBrine - A good all rounder, has played mostly seconds cricket but has opened the bowling for the seniors yet another from the famous McBrine family.

Richard Dougherty - Doc has stepped in for his son in the previous rounds and hasn’t lost any of his skills behind the stumps a true winner.
