David is Captain Fantastic on a record day for the Lost Boys
He was the winner for the society’s first outing of the year at Rockmount GC, firing in a massive 41 points.
It took a good score to win it as a Lost Boys record of 33 golfers turned out for glorious conditions at a course in tip top condition.

Results from the front nine started to come in and with the course being as good as it was, it was clear to see the Frampton win the night before still affecting some of the scores, with the odd ding flying about.
While some men contemplated heading back to the clubhouse early, Stephen Proctor and David Sterritt were ripping up the course with a fantastic 21 and 24 points respectively.
As the golf got closer to the clubhouse, everyone could smell the food, especially Chris McGladdery as he hit an absolute clinker on the 18th. And as many commented, it will be a hard one to beat all season.

So with the golf finishing up and bags back into the cars, we then collapsed into the warm and cosy surroundings of the clubhouse for the usual banter and scandal of the day’s events.
With some high scores being clocked, the day wasnt going to be taken away from the Captain on his first outing in the position.
And his score will surely prove a difficult one to beat all year.

Another enjoyable and well organised event was had by everyone.
Next up for the Lost Boys will be Concra Wood in three week’s time, with tee off at the later time of 12 Midday.
