David Patton opened the scoring, Shane Jennings and Paul Owens both grabbed braces and Stephen Lowry completed the scorers.

The home side were almost embarrassed after 30 seconds but Gareth McConaghie cleared off the line from Stephen Horan.

However United did take the lead in only the third minute. Chris Rodden burst brilliantly from the back and while Patton's first shot was saved he followed up to score.

In the 18th minute the Roesiders had another great chance. Lee Patrick crossed for Ciaran Clarke, who shot was straight at 'keeper Tracy, when either side of him would have meant a goal.

Only a minute later Jennings grabbed his second and United's third when he cleverly looped home a header from Owens cross.

It was almost three goals in three minutes but Owens right foot shot was superbly tipped wide by the alert Tracy

Tracy was at his best however in the 40th minute when he tipped over McConaghie's 25 yard pile-driver.

Holywood did have another chance in the 46th minute but Alistair Gordon's effort was easily saved by Michael Doherty.
