Evan's on a high!

A STUDENT from Loreto College Coleraine, Specialist School, has qualified for the British Schools' Trampolining Finals following success at the Zonal Finals of the National UK Championships, held recently in Hull.

Evan Wall, a Year 9 student at Loreto College, qualified for the Under-13 Boys’ Novice class following a superb performance in Hull. This followed an impressive start in the Northern Ireland round of the competition, in which Evan was runner-up. Evan was among a number of students representing Loreto College in Hull at the weekend: he was a member of the Under-13 Boys’ team, along with Barry Daly, Simon Purvis and Callum McCarthy, which qualified for the event.

Loreto College was also represented in individual competitions by Caite Skelly (Year 8), Jordan McCullough (Year 8), Vincent Masselis (Year 10), and Eve O’Loan (Year 11), and Aidan Carlin (Year 11), following their award-winning performances at Northern Ireland level.

Loreto principal, Brian Lenehan, paid tribute to all the students who competed at this premier event, and congratulated Evan on his tremendous success.

He also praised Mrs Karen Graham, Trampolining coach, and Mrs Maureen McCullough, Head of PE.
