FOOTBALL: Baxter banned but not for Coleraine clash

CRUSADERS manager Stephen Baxter has been hit with a seven-match suspension by the IFA's Disciplinary Committee.

The punishment was handed out following the Seaview boss' sending off in the Boxing Day derby defeat to Cliftonville.

The suspension will not come into effect until Monday, meaning Baxter will be in the dugout for Saturday's Carling Premiership game with Coleraine.

Baxter and a total of five players were red carded by referee Adrian McCourt in the festive shocker.

The Crusaders manager was handed a three-game ban for his sending off, and four additional matches for comments made after the final whistle.
