FOOTBALL: NI schools call up for Alice

A COLERAINE footballer has been named in the Northern Ireland under 18 schoolgirl squad.

Alice Harkness, a pupil of Coleraine High School, is currently a goal keeper with newly promoted Premier League side YMCA.

The under 18 team will play Australia tomorrow (Wednesday) at Ashfield Arena in Belfast.

15-year-old Alice has worked her way through the County Excellence programme and has represented Northern Ireland at under 15 level.

Coleraine Ladies player, Lauren Wade, did not make the squad because of injury.
