Brennan brothers Gavin and Ryan were the goalscorers in the Drogs 2-0 success, but in truth, just like a number of weeks ago in the EA Sports Cup semi-final win, they should have won by a bigger margin.

For the second game against Mick Cooke’s side, the Brandywell men just didn’t turn up and the defeat all but ends their slim title challenge.

After the game boss Declan Devine spoke to Sentinel Sport’s Editor Kevin McLaughlin, but he didn’t want to comment on the reason why striker David McDaid was left out of the squad.

The former York City front man is thought to have been disciplined because he missed training on Wednesday.
