Just before the break the visitors had a great chance to double their lead when a long ball caught the Stute defence napping but the striker pulled his shot wide of the post.
Institute looked a different side in the second period and within ten minutes they levelled through defender Scoltock who bundled the ball home after Glenavon’s keeper had spilled a Ben Doherty corner.
Midway through the half King popped up at the back post to head Stute into the lead before substitute Aaron Porter teed up Burke who side footed home from eight yards to seal the victory with fifteen minutes remaining.
