Dungannon 0 Linfield 4
Linfield kept the pressure on leaders Crusaders with this big win at Dungannon.
The Blues had the game won by the break as they raced into a three-goal lead.
The first came just before the half-hour mark.
Chris Hegarty tried to clear a free-kick under pressure from Jimmy Callacher, but the defender accidentally headed into his own net.
The Blues stretched their lead two minutes later.
Paul Smyth shifted the ball across to Jamie Mulgrew, whose strike was deflected, taking it out of the goalkeeper’s reach.
And it was 3-0 in the 42nd minute. Niall Quinn collected a pass from Mulgrew before driving home a low, left-foot strike.
The Blues continued to press and added number four in the 54th minute.
Dungannon failed to cut out a cross from Smyth and Ross Gaynor arrived at the back post to hammer home.
Late on Lowry had an effort cleared off the line and the goalkeeper saved well from Smyth.
