Late goal denies Glenavon

An injury time equaliser from Joel Bradley denied Glenavon their first home win of the season as the Lurgan Blues finished 2-2 with Coleraine on Friday night.

Coleraine bossed the first half and should have added to their early strike through Gary Browne.

Glenavon had little to offer until four minutes from the break when David Rainey played in Guy Bates and he swept the ball past Wayne Drummond to make it 1-1 at the break.

That goal changed the game and it was Glenavon who got on top in the second half and they created a host of chances, hitting the woodwork and having an goalbound shot cleared off the line.

Just when it looked as if it would not be their night David Rainey curled a brilliant left foot shot into the corner of the net with eight minutes left.

With two of the four added minutes gone Coleraine got in behind the defence to level and then right on the whistle could have snatched the win as Jennings connected from a few yards out but goalkeeper Andy Coleman saved the day with a point blank save.
