The tough-tackling McGuinness, who is now a masseur, played for a host of clubs during his career and goes for a 4-4-2 system, so here's his best 11 players he played with and the reasons why....
5. Steven Brown
Steven Brown (Centre-Back - Bangor): Steven never missed a ball in the air and he was strong in the tackle. Put his body on the line for the team in every game.
6. Paul Byrne
Paul Byrne (Right-Wing - Bangor): Paul had come back from Oxford United to play for Bangor and it was not long before Celtic snapped him up. His distribution of the ball was superb.
7. Paul Hegarty
Paul Hegarty (Centre-Midfield - Derry City): I will never forget his first game away to Sligo Rovers, were he covered every blade of grass. Paul also had a great passing game and a never say die attitude.
8. Felix Healy
Felix Healy (Centre-Midfield - Derry City): I probably had my best season at Derry City playing alongside Felix. He knew the game inside out and controlled the tempo of the game. Scored some great important goals and he was a great striker of the ball.
