Under 15s bounce back with emphatic victory
Town started the game sluggishly and it looked as if they were still hurting from defeat last week as Banbridge were having the better of the early exchanges pressing Town back into their own half for almost the first 10 minutes, but then Town began to settle.
On 20 minutes Lurgan broke the deadlock when an explosive strike from captain Matty Russell flew fly past the keeper from 20 yards.

Hide AdTown further knocked the heart out of a shellshocked Banbridge team when Croistan McAreavey made it 2-0 five minutes from half-time. Banbridge pulled a goal back just before the break.
Town began the second half with purpose as they immediately got at Banbridge and within five minutes had increased their lead to 3-1 when Ryan Lewsley scored after breaking through the defence.
Banbridge despite being two goals behind never gave up and only for keeper Jake Kerr they could have been back in the game when he pulled off to superb saves to keep Town’s two goal cushion intact.
This inspired Town and within another minute of Kerr’s superb saves it was 4-1, this time another superb strike from Ben Eagle.

Hide AdTown were not finished as Lewsley and Eagle grabbed another goal each to make it 6-1.
This was probably Town’s best display of passing football all season and also showed what great team spirit and togetherness they have in the squad bouncing back from defeat against a well organised and strong Banbridge team.
