GOLF: McKibbin shoots five-under to lead Future Masters
Newtownabbey’s Tom McKibbin produced an amazing display of golf at the opening round of the Future Masters in America on Sunday, carding a five-under 65 to take a three-shot lead.
His bogey-free round at a rain-affected day at Alabama’s Dothan Country Club puts him in the driving seat in a field of 60 competitors. He leads Texan Matthew Griggs, who is in second.
McKibbin’s round included birdies on holes five, seven, eight, 10 and 16.
