Members are reminded that Hasson Law are sponsoring this Saturday’s team Classic for Ladies and Men (any combination), best two scores to count at each hole.

No less than three players recorded the same score of 41 points in Thursday’s Weekly Open at City of Derry, the winner was Stuart McClelland (7) whose 22 points on the back nine was decisive, back to back birdies on holes eleven and twelve helping in no small measure.

Mark Gordon (14) continued his recent good form to take the second prize with 20 points on his back nine and third place went to Richard Hamilton (16) who had a remarkable 25 points on his front nine and looked to be coasting to overall success until an ugly blank on the last hole cost him dearly.

Newtonstewart member Stephen Henderson (9) was the best visitor with a fairly modest 33 points and Kealan Quigg (0) won the best gross with a level par 71 and 36 points.
