BRENDAN SANDS (15) continued his run of good form in Prehen’s Sunday Society outings with a fine 34 points and top spot in this week’s competition.

A birdie three at the “Water Hole” and nine points over the last three holes yielded him no less than thirteen of those points just enough for his one points winning margin over second and third placed Alan Montgomery (14) and Jeremy Thatcher (10) both of whom had a costly double bogey six at the last hole.

Last week’s winner Kevin Green (14) had to settle for fourth place this time with his 32 points. George Simms (17) finished in fifth place on 31 points beating his compatriot Brian Stanford (14) into sixth place courtesy of a tie break.
