Having accumulated 362 points from their four cards, they hold a seven point lead over Team 8 - Mark Doherty, Ciaran O’Doherty, John Jennings and Dermott Harkin - and with six cards still to play the competition for the eight qualifying places in the match play is a very close contest.

While Foyle Sunday Society once again had the best of the weeks weather with a large turnout taking to the Ballyarnett fairways, with 13 handicapper Kevin Crumley taking full advantage of the fine conditions to return an excellent winning score of 44 points after closing out his round with birdies at the final three holes.

Paddy Coyle (14) finished second with a fine score of 42 points, with Eddie McDermott (11) taking the final podium place with 41 points.
