Tommy was not the only Ulster player present; fresh from the Ireland Rugby Six Nations Championship winning side was Andrew Trimble.
Also playing were Michael Heaney, Craig Gilroy, Luke Marshall, David McIlwaine and Stu McCluskey.

Under no pressure from the interested onlookers on the first tee some of the tee shots were interesting to say the least.

MS Week will run from Monday 28 April until Sunday 4 May 2014 – a week when the MS Society encourages people to speak out about MS.

This year the MS Society will use MS Week to launch its “Treat me Right” campaign.

The Treat Me Right campaign will call for the right treatment at the right time for people with MS.

“At the moment, we know people are facing huge difficulties in accessing the treatments they need, the information to help them decide what’s right for them and the specialists who can help are available,” said Tom Mallon, Acting Head of the MS Society Northern Ireland.

The players chose not to disclose their scores after completing the eighteen holes but it is safe to say the course record was not threatened by any of them.

After some early rain the weather was kind for the players. Walking his way to first place was Michael Carson (10) with an excellent score of 40 points; second place went to Alan Young (09) who also scored 40 points but was beaten on count-back.

The low section (0 – 11) was won by Laurence Murdock (08) who scored 38 points.

The middle section (12 – 18) was won by Alan Brown (15) also with 38 points and the high section (19 – 28) by Eamon McKinney (19) one of a number of players who scored 37 points.

Mark Wynne (6) completed the par seventy two in a three over par score of seventy five to win the gross prize.

Mark had one birdie on the front nine for a one under score of 36 and also had a birdie on the back nine mixed in with three bogeys and a double bogey.
