It’s Viva Las Vegas for locals

This was the first time Northern Ireland had taken part in this event.

With over 2000 competitors from all around the world this was a very busy event with large numbers in each category, some having 55 players in each event.

The standard overall was very high, but the Northern Ireland team still managed to come home with three bronze medals for Master Glen Culbert, Peter Stewart from Lisburn Taekwondo Club and Damian Duffy.

It was a great experience for the team and they trained very hard towards this event so it was great to return with a few medals.

Competing against so many countries and doing so well has given all members of the team the confidence to continue to develop and compete at this level.
