No change at the tops but champions clinch first win

Eire Og 7-1 INF B

Eire Og continue to impress with another big win this time giving the INF B team their first taste of defeat with a comfortable 7-1 win. It was a battle of the brothers in the first two matches as Chris Cinnamond got his fourth win of the season with a 2-0 win over Conor Magee and brother John repeated the feat with a 2-0 win over Bobby Magee to give Eire Og the perfect start.

Micky McConville lost for the first time after three consecutive wins as Paul McGahan made it three with a 2-1 win and after Hugh Heaney won the deciding leg also against Conor Quinn it was an uphill task for the visitors as they now trailed 4-0 on the night.

Next up it was Mark McLernon against Keith Beale with both players having previously won three out of three but it was Keith who left with his unbeaten record as he won a last leg decider to give the INF B team a little hope. But the match as a contest was soon over as 2-0 wins for Niall Heaney over Lee Harbinson, Sam Frazer over Dee McCready and Micky Dunwoodie over Colie Toman kept the hosts on track as they have only dropped five games in four matches and sit on the maximum eight points after a great start to the season.

INF A 6-2 Trojans

The INF A team stay level on points with Eire Og as they had a comfortable 6-2 win over the Trojans who continue to look for their first points of the season.

Paul White had 3x140’s and two 21 dart legs as he got his fourth 2-0 win of the season and in doing so he put the hosts in front with a win over Paul Lewis.

Roy White extended the lead with a 2-0 win over Stuart Matchett but Trojans captain Andy Fairbairn got his second win in a row with a 2-0 win over Paul Magill to keep the Trojans in touch. Dave McCusker got his fourth win as he had a 21 dart leg in beating Roger Hare 2-0 to put two between the sides again and A 140 and a 19 dart leg by Dan Cahoon got him his fourth consecutive 2-0 win of the year as he beat Davy Vaughan Sr to make it 4-1.

Lee Culbert returned to form as he guaranteed the win with two 20 dart legs with 3x140’s and 2x100’s as he beat Michael Shields who had 2x100’s on a 2-0 score line. Inspired by Lee’s form his brother David stepped up as he had four ton plus scores as he won a last leg decider against Liz McLoughlin to make it 6-1 before Davy Vaughan Jr hit a 121 and a 20 dart leg as he took the final match against Christy Gribben ( 132 , 121 ) to leave the final score 6-2 to the hosts.

Celtic 3-5 Stables

The Stables leapfrogged over Celtic and moved up to third place with an excellent 5-3 win.

Sean Farren was unfortunate to lose the first match to Shane Tallon before John Bishorek had to hit top form with a 139 , 3x100’s a 96 checkout and a 17 dart leg to get the better of Michael Lamb who had a 137, 135 and a 121 in the last leg.

A 140,100 and 20 darts was enough for Gary Bell to put the Stables back in front as he beat Micky Cahoon 2-0 but Adrian Hutchinson levelled matters again as he had four ton plus scores in beating Conor Mallon (140,100) 2-1. Pat Curran was pushed the whole way by Caolan Lavery who was making his league debut and despite Caolan hitting the maximum 180 as well as 121 and 116 it was Pat who found the doubles as he won both legs against the 17-year-old who will be another great young addition to the league. The youth continued to show the older players how it was done as 15-year-old John Bishorek Jr had a 20 dart leg along with scores of 121, 3x100’s and an 86 checkout as he won both legs against Hugh Campbell to level the match at 3-3. But it was the two Nathans of the Stables who claimed the victory as firstNathan McCabe had 2x140’s and a 19 dart leg as he beat Gerard Crewe (3x100’s) 2-1 followed by Nathan Lamb hitting 2x120’s and 2x100s as he beat Chris Lewsley 2-1 who himself had an excellent 101 checkout in his winning leg.

Drumgor 7-1

Clann Eireann

Reigning champions Drumgor got their first win of the season with a 7-1 win over Clann Eireann who unfortunately only had seven men.

Shane Lennon had to come from behind to win as a 17 dart opening leg by Micky Campbell put him in front and Joe Duff had to repeat the feat as he won the battle of the captains coming from behind to win 2-1 against Johnny McAtamney. Mark Magee got his second win in a row as he beat Paul Donnelly in the third leg also to claim the only win of the night for the visitors

Marty Craig had a 2-0 win over Michael Kitching who couldn’t repeat last weeks win as Drumgor went further in front. Clive Hanna was in excellent form as a 180 and two legs of 19 and 21 darts was enough for him to get past Michael Scullion.

The finish of the night in the league came from James Henry as he had a t20 17 bull finish for a 127 checkout as he beat Gary Hendron 2-0 and with Pearse Richardson getting the walkover in the last match seen Michael Maloco hold his nerve as his impressive performances finally paid off as he took the deciding leg against Chris Magee.
