A walk down Memory Lane
“When we were teenagers it was war time and the city was full of men and full of sailors. I married one of the sailors - but I’m not telling you his name!
I met him in the Corinthian Dance Hall.
Another place we used to go was the Mem Hall, the Memorial Hall...there were all sorts of different small dance halls all over the town, but the Corinthian was may favourite.

Hide AdI used to go there with my girlfriends of the time. It was a great big crowd of us that used to go to the dances, and we all went out together and all stayed together while we were out.
Among my best friends that I remember from that time were May Buchanan, May Burke and Peggy McBrearty.
We loved going out to the dances together.
It was a very glamorous time and the music was good.”
