Tough draws for locals

All of the local clubs have been handed tough Championship draws in this seasons Reserve Series

Sarsfields and Maghery will play in the senior section and Wolfe Tones, St. Peter’s, Clan na Gael, St. Paul’s and Eire Og will participate in the intermediate series. Clannn Eireann’s reserve side will in 2014 compete in the Third Division League and Championship, the Lurgan clubs senior side will line out in Division 2 of the All County Leagues, but considering the big numbers of players at their disposal they are well capable of competing at both levels.

In the Senior League Sarsfields have been drawn against North Armagh rivals Tir Na Nog with the winners going on to play Armagh Harps in the first round.

In the Intermediate Championship S. Paul’s are away to Grange and Eire Og will travel to Middletown, both games are in the preliminary round. Clan na Gael will face the winners of the St. Paul’s game and St. Peter’s will await the winners from the Eire Og game in the first round.
