Support for close contact businesses in Newtownabbey
As of today (Friday), close contact services across Northern Ireland have reopened following the latest announcement from the Executive regarding the easing of restrictions.
To show support, Antrim and Newtownabbey Council is supplying PPE packs to the close contact businesses across the borough.
Each pack contains re-useable face coverings, five litres of hand sanitiser, latex gloves and a face visor.
Businesses who qualify have been contacted directly to attend a collection point within their town centre, where the Mayor, Cllr Jim Montgomery was on hand to distribute the packs.
Cllr Montgomery said: “We have a number of packs available for businesses in the borough who operate under the close contact sector.
“These businesses have had a tough time over the past year and I am delighted we can offer this service to help them as they reopen.
“I have no doubt they will have a busy time ahead and I wish them the best of luck as they all reopen.”
